hi there. remember me? it’s been a while, let’s catch up!
The last several weeks have been a jumble of home renovations. We’ve been painting every square inch inside the new house, ripping out carpet, sanding down and refinishing a staircase, landscaping, hardscaping (ahem: sunken fire pit!), moving furniture that’s way too damn heavy, and finishing a bathroom renovation (to name just a couple projects!). All the while, we’ve been doing our best to keep normal life rolling along uninterrupted.
Even though we’re sad to have missed out on the best of summer, we knew what we were getting into when we bought this house. Still, we’re thankful to see fall on the horizon. This year the end of summer represents the end of this season of chaos, and fall signifies the start of a more laid-back season when we’ll bask in the hard work we’ve put in. Sunken fire pit… here we come!
So whether you’re ready for it or not… cheers to the end of summer, friends!
I’d love to hear about your summer – what’s the most exciting or fun thing you did?
PS. I’m in the process of wrangling together the before and after photos from all our home reno projects; I’ll share ’em in the coming days!
